How it works

How a project runs

From the first call to the finished capture, here’s what working with Oplexis involves.

  1. 01

    Scope.

A short call about your space, who it’s for and what they need to see. Afterwards we confirm in writing what we’ll capture, what you’ll receive and the price.

  2. 02

    Plan.

We agree which rooms and areas to capture, the date, access, and how to work around your events, guests, tenants or customers.

We’ll tell you how to prepare, for example which lights to have on and keeping people out of the spaces while they’re being captured.

  3. 03

    Capture.

We capture each space on site from many positions. How long it takes depends on the size and number of spaces, and we’ll give you an estimate when we plan.

  4. 04

    Build.

We process the images into an interactive 3D scene, then check it for quality: gaps, blur and anything that doesn’t look like the real place.

  5. 05

    Review and deliver.

You review the result before anything is shared. We then deliver it in the format we agreed.

    • We agree with you how it’s delivered and shared.

What we need from you

  • Access to the spaces at an agreed time.
  • A contact on the day.
  • Your approval before anything is shared.

Using captures as examples

We only show your capture as an example of our work if you agree.

All questions

What is a 3D capture?

We capture images of a space from many positions and use a technique called 3D Gaussian Splatting to rebuild it as a 3D scene. The result looks like the real place and can be explored on screen.

How is it different from photos or a 360° tour?

Photos show fixed views. Many 360° tours let you look around from set points. A 3D capture is a model of the space, so people can explore it more freely and understand how it fits together.

Can you measure from it or make floor plans?

No. Our captures are for showing how a space looks and feels. If you need measured drawings, you need a surveyor.

Where do you work?

We work across the UK. Tell us where your space is and we’ll plan the capture around it.

How much does it cost?

Every space is different, so we scope and price each project individually, after a short call.

How do you handle our data?

In line with UK data protection law.

Discuss a project.

Tell us about your space, where it is and who needs to see it. We’ll get back to you to arrange a short call.
